As for a "bigger abode", we've been content in our 2-bedroom apartment we moved to in 1998. When it comes to technology, we only replace what's needed or wanted and well-used. We have quite a mix: Apple tablets (iPad for me and iPad mini for him), we both have Android phones and laptops. His laptop is Windows 10 (Yuck!!!) and mine runs Linux Mint. I tried a ChromeBook and exchanged it the next day with an Android tablet. I use the iPad and Android tablet for different tasks.
I'm definitely a stationery addict. I also do a lot of crochet and knitting. My friend and I make squares and join them into blankets for charity. My husband says I have both a stationery and yarn store at home!
I've been making e-cards for the past 2-3 years and we haven't decorated for holidays for at least 15 years.
Jewellery and perfume are below the basement in my priority list. I had a friend who had extreme environmental sensitivities so I stopped wearing any fragrances over 5 years ago.
If I were on my own, there'd be no large TV, receiver or sound system. I wouldn't have cable or Netflix. I'd have my laptop and subscriptions to Wondrium, Disney, Curiosity Stream, and PureFlix.
As for transportation, if I were on my own, it would be limited to our city's transport system. My opthamologist was very happy when I promised him I'd not get on a bike that went anywhere. I have all I need for exercise at home, including an excellent quality treadmill.
I love my simple life!
