How long are your typical articles? Are they opinion pieces or personal reflections? Do you ever write anything that requires research or other preparation?

I don't find writing long content that requires a lot of research at all appealing. I enjoy responding to previously expressed ideas. I have a hard time believing that I could come up with anything original. Even if I had anything unique to add to the conversation, I struggle to believe anyone would find it interesting.

I agree that time alone is not enough to make an article better. If you're going to write something substantial, there's a lot more involved in preparation.
