I can't begin to imagine what this must feel like. Being safe (for now at least) wouldn't lessen the trauma that much --at least I don't think so. I've never lived through any serious disasters and the part of Ontario I live in doesn't even get the severe storms we hear about. I hope you don't lose anyone close to you.
