I could see engines being useful to me as a lower rated player to identify which moves in my game were blunders. Then I would look at the position and see if I could see what the problem was. If not, then I keep track of these in a Lichess study to ask a coach about them if I ever get one. I'm a chess hobbyist, not an improver.
