I don't care about creating an email list, but I want a second home for my chess articles. There's a strong chess presence on Substack. I'm also considering other sites with the following characteristics that Medium has:
- a simple editor that produces articles with a large font that's easy to see on any device
- doesn't require special technical knowledge
- has a community of readers

I set up a Substack account months ago, but I've not used it. The limited time and energy I have available for writing, I want to devote to writing Medium articles. I'm publishing once a week and want to write responses a lot more often than I have lately.
