I don't know if anyone admires me. In my experience, I'm pretty much invisible. I'm soft-spoken and say very little in any group setting unless I'm specifically asked for my input.

I'm not a very emotional person so it's not so much a matter of control. I just don't feel much. Even when I do feel something, I'm more inclined to reflect than react.

As for my appearance, I do the basics, but I don't follow any fashion. I dress very modestly and wear a head covering.

In one-on-one conversations, I respond more to what I'm hearing--not so much to offer an opinion or advice, but to share similar experience so the other person feels like I understand without judging.

I cycle through a wide variety of interests. When I engage with something, it's intense, but it doesn't last a long time. This past 6-8 months, it's been chess. I write about what interests me as a way of integrating what I'm learning. I imagine my husband and friends are sick of hearing me talk about chess!

The only time I like being the center of attention is when I can make people laugh--especially if it's about one of my countless faults. :)
