I learned to play chess when I was 10 but haven’t kept up with it. I came across a library book on chess openings that was twice the size and weight as my Bible! That was intimidating!

I used to wish I had a photographic memory even though I knew that understanding is more important. I don’t have anyone to play with so I use a chess app. I found one that coaches you but I’ve done nothing with it yet. Too busy writing!

Would gaining skill with chess would improve my writing in any way?
