I think a lot of rules have some history of truth behind them. When the “truth” no longer applies, it’s time to either make new rules or abandon rules altogether.

I don’t write or publish on Sundays because I don’t do anything that earns income on the Sabbath. I do other things unrelated to writing that are also creative, along with chess, Sudoku, online courses and other things that make me think.
