I too have more books on my shelves than I've read. Let's not even mention those on my iBooks and Kindle shelves! I also have books on my library "For Later" shelf and on my Kindle wish list. It's easier to forget the ones that I don't see.

If I read all my books, I'd never have time to do chores, to eat, to sleep, and certainly no time to write! I read every chance I get. In the car (as a passenger of course), in the checkout line, and in the bathtub. I read, or rather I listen to books while on the treadmill, on a bench by the river, and at the kitchen table while I'm enjoying a snack.

I buy books with every intention of reading each one from cover to cover. In the case of non-fiction books, I obtain those with the added intention of making notes for future articles.

If I could spend my time in Purgatory reading, I might finish the ones I currently own and those I plan to buy or borrow. And that's only if I died tonight and didn't have time to buy or bookmark any others.

I love e-books for the simple reason that I can read it in a font comfortable for my myopic vision without the book weighing more than a toddler. Technology has been, is, and always will be my friend!

I guess we're very different. I buy more books than I'll ever have time to read. But I do relish the reading far more than the purchasing.
