I'm a firm believer that there is no system or advice that fits everyone. I'm one of those who thrive on routine and structure. I find this 168-hour cycle intriguing because it breaks you out of the "I'll start doing X daily starting Monday" dynamic.

I could set a goal of 20 hours of writing and split them up any way I want so I don't have to "write every day". But I might put off writing until the 2nd last day of the cycle and have to write 10 hours on those last two days. That would NOT work for me.
