I’m not sure if I’m in “curation jail” or not. Here’s why I’m not that concerned:

• I plan to keep writing on this platform long-term, regardless of whether or not I ever get curated.
• I have been and will continue to provide detailed responses to stories because it’s something I naturally want to do. It seems to be resulting in more followers, but that’s just a side benefit.
• Getting curated is not a SMART goal in the sense that it is not in my control. I prefer to focus on what I can do and that is to write – a LOT!
• I see enormous opportunities on Medium to learn about writing, productivity etc. Submitting to publications offers an awesome opportunity to improve my writing.
• I didn’t join Medium to earn any income. If I do earn anything, it might have more to do with my followers than anything else.

Curation would be a nice recognition, but not an essential element for my goals here.
