In my experience with Medium, my stats were better during the weeks where I did plenty of reading and responding. When I first joined, it was more to read than to write. I think the key to getting more income from Medium is to have more readers than writers.

Maybe using our infuence on social media to promote Medium as a great source of reading material that's not supported by ads would be a good place to start.
