I was enjoying playing chess until I started feeling "pressured" to analyze my games. Chess stopped being fun.

I started writing on Medium because I like how my articles looked and because the editor was so easy to work with. No coding worries and even the SEO part was easy. Writing was so much more fun than on my WordPress blog. I got more followers in two months on Medium than I had in two years on WordPress. After two years on Medium, I earn about $12 per month and that's fine with me.

I write when I want. I write about the topics that interest me while the fascination is strong. I've written about 10X the number of responses than the number of articles.

Writing short-form promises to be more fun because the headache of finding images and worrying about whether they're legitimate (even on Unsplash) is definitely NOT fun.
