One of the funniest examples of how we expect others to be like us is when I show my husband something in a book. I put the book an inch from the end of his nose because that's how close *I* need it in order to read! There's a REASON they don't let me drive! My cupboard contents have a loose structure. This is also because of my vision. I need to have SOME hope of finding stuff. But they're far from perfectly symmetrical!

During a team building event at work, they had us do a personality test. Within the Introvert/Extrovert categories were two other categories: people-oriented or task oriented. People would have one main style such as task-oriented extrovert and a different sub-style. I determined that my main style was the Thinker (a task-oriented introvert), but I couldn't figure out my sub-style. When I consulted with the facilitator, she said my sub-style was also Thinker! I don't recall the labels for the other three possibilities. One of my colleagues scored at the intersection of all 4 types. Given that opposites attract, I wasn't surprised to find my husband is a people-oriented extrovert.

When it comes to sensation versus intuition, I'm mostly operate on the intuition side. My to-do list is definitely on paper. I'm forever making lists on paper to get the OUT of my head.
