Seeing that few people listen to any opinions but their own in conversation, it's obvious that the only hope I have of being "heard" is to write what I think. I don't expect to be "right". Often, there is no way to agree on what "right" is in our relativist culture.

I don't care if people agree or disagree. I don't need to be agreed with to feel that I've been heard. If someone reads without commenting, what I've written may still make a difference to them even if I never know it.
