The idea of eating what I want is appealing and terrifying at the same time. What I want to avoid more than anything is to be overweight. Been there. Done that. Hated every minute of it.

I already have a disordered relationship to food because I use it for more than physical nourishment. I get it that restricting food to follow some specific food plan isn't the best plan. Eating should never have gotten so complicated! My intuition with all these plans is to avoid any that advocate eliminating an entire food group.

It's a great idea to focus on whole foods rather than packaged and processed foods and I've reduced how much processed food I buy. I don't worry about organic or gluten-free. I agree with the advice to eliminate sugar but it's never going to happen.
