Writing daily is not problematic. What matters is why and what you’re writing…Copywriters work almost every day. But that’s their job. I’ve just returned to writing on Medium after at least 6 months. I published a 7-part series every day in the first 6 days of January 2024. Did I plan to publish every day after that? Absolutely NOT! Two weeks into January, I planned to self-publish two posts each week and submit an article to a publication whenever I felt inclined. Now, entering the third week of the New Year, I’m wondering if that’s too much.

I believe in consistency, and I’m passionate about engaging with Medium. Since joining in 2020, I’ve earned less than $10 monthly. It’s not about the money. I’ve written over 1,400 responses, and my reading list contains over 780 articles at the time of this writing. I joined Medium as a reader, not a writer.

My old WordPress blog’s tagline was “I’d rather write than talk,” and that hasn’t changed. I started it because I read that blogging would help me write more consistently. I wasn’t interested in a niche, affiliate marketing, SEO, or any other typical blog stuff. I just wanted to express myself on any…
