You're right. That is what you said.

I'm fascinated with chess so I consume a ton of content that is directed at improvers. As a result, I sometimes forget that I'm NOT the intended audience. ;)

At my level, looking at positions first doesn't help because I don't know what position to look at within the game. The engine can tell me where the blunders are so that tells me which position to look at..

I understand forks, pins and skewers. I can solve a lot of 1-move puzzles. that's my limit for tactics. So I can sometimes tell why the engine identified the move as a blunder.

I like learning about chess and writing about it more than actually playing it. I play OTB with a friend and enter the games in Lichess. Ideally I'd like to analyze them. At my knowledge level, I've no idea how to do that.
